Founder of Syclo, a leading enterprise mobile platform company acquired by SAP in 2012.

Rich brings deep technical and entrepreneurial experience to the team, most notably as the founder of Syclo, a leading provider of enterprise mobile solutions. As Founder and CEO, he grew the company to over 200 employees with large enterprise and government customers in 39 countries, becoming a leading channel partner for SAP, IBM and Oracle. Syclo’s platform and mobile applications were eventually recognized as leading technologies by Gartner and other analyst firms resulting in Rich receiving the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2004. SAP eventually approached Syclo about a potential acquisition which ultimately culminated in 2012. After two years as Chief Strategy Officer of SAP’s Mobile Division, he left to start a private development lab in Chicago where he and his team explore new technologies and take them to market.

Rich serves on the boards of Havensight Consulting Group, Intelligent Flying Machines, Vodori and Xtracomm.

He currently serves on the faculty at Northwestern University, teaching at the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and mentoring students at The Garage, NU’s innovation hub. Rich received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.
