As of today, our Silicon Valley team has expanded even further as Ali Javidan, who led Google’s top secret Skunkworks lab, and Greg Zanghi, who scaled operations at Tesla, Lyft and Luxe, have joined R7 as Venture Partners.
Ali and Greg are part of a select group of key Silicon Valley operators that have a proven ability to turn concepts into companies and startups into unicorns. Ali and Greg have spent their entire careers finding and joining some of the most revolutionary technology startups in the World. Just check out their current startup Zoox, where they are building a fully autonomous vehicle. It’s amazing.
Ali was an early member of Tesla where he launched and led the Prototype Vehicles team which built the first Model X and Tesla’s flagship vehicle, the Model S. After Tesla, Ali joined Google’s ATAP (Advanced Technology and Projects) Group, and founded its top secret Skunkworks lab that focused on solving the most difficult hardware problems coming out of Google. Ali is currently at Zoox, where he was recruited to architect its prototyping and experimental operations for its first fully autonomous robot vehicle.
Greg has helped scale operations for some of the most disruptive technology companies in the world. He is currently at Zoox where he’s transforming the automotive industry with its fully autonomous vehicle. Greg leads the Drive Team, and the Service Engineering and Operations group at the company. Prior to Zoox, Greg co-founded car valet startup, Luxe where he served in several roles, including Chief Operations Officer. Prior to Luxe, he was the Vice President of Trust and Safety at Lyft. Prior to Lyft, he was the Director of Supply Chain for One Kings Lane. Most notably, Greg was an early employee of Tesla where he built its Global Service Operations and Tesla Ranger program. He has a passion for delivering exceptional experience through innovation; from high-performance motorcycles, to electric vehicles, to the future of autonomous transportation.
