Steve serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Xperi, an innovative technology company providing imaging, audio, semiconductor, and machine learning solutions. Previously, he was Founder, President and CTO at Tabula, a fabless semiconductor company he founded in 2003. Prior to Tabula, Steve was co-CTO and Chief Scientist at Cadence Design Systems, a leading supplier of electronic design technologies and engineering services in the electronic design automation industry. He also previously held CTO roles at Simplex Solutions, CombiChem, BioCAD, and Tangent Systems. Steve has been venture-backed by several top-tier venture capital firms, including Benchmark, NEA, and Greylock.

In 2011, Steve was awarded both a World Technology Award and an Edison Award, and he is an inventor on more than 315 U.S. patents across multiple disciplines. He holds a BSE in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University.
